A Letter from Shabu's Family
Hi Janis! Just want to send you an update on Shabu! He’s doing so well. In the past few months, Shabu has lost all his baby teeth, made new puppy friends, dined in with Danny and I at restaurants, gone kayaking, painted on Valentine’s Day, attended the Long Beach Grand Prix, and got his first big boy groom. Shabu is pretty much potty trained and is scheduled to be neutered soon. I realize I haven’t shared my review with you so I will do so here:
“Shabu is the best dog I could’ve asked for as a first time dog owner. I am over the moon by how amazing Shabu’s temperament and personality is and I have to give credit to Janis’ work as a breeder. It gave me comfort to know that all her puppies go through the kindergarten class before they go to their forever homes. All of my friends always comment on how smart and well behaved Shabu is and that makes me a proud dog parent. Shabu is so friendly and intelligent. He loves every human and always wants to be pet. He’s very easy to train and such a quick learner. He’s a silly boy who loves to play, is such a sweetie, and he’s good at telling me what he wants. I really believe that Janis did a wonderful job matching Shabu to my partner and I and our lifestyle. Shabu is the perfect balance of couch potato and naps (like mom) and high energy and athletic (like dad). We want to give him the world and are so lucky he’s in our lives! He has really made our lives more complete. I can’t imagine my life without Shabu and feel so lucky I found him with Pro K9 Goldendoodles!
A Letter from Cappy's Family
We took Cappy on a snowshoeing backpacking trip to Peter Grubb Hut a couple weeks ago! Just having him around keeps Luke's anxiety down. Cap even carried his own supplies in his own "backpack"! REI has some great day packs for dogs! He's living a very happy adventurous life with Luke and our family. One of his favorite things we do is go to the sand dunes. And in the summertime he absolutely loves the boat. We brought him for a weeklong houseboat trip to Shasta Lake last year.
Day to day I mostly work him when I go shopping with Luke and he sleeps right next to Luke's bed.
A Letter from Mijo's Family
I have to let everyone know that Janis Howard is the best breeder to work with. I contacted her about 2 years ago to tell her of my needs and what was recommended for me. We talked and got to know each other. She watched her litter closely and recommended the puppy that she felt would work best for my needs. Our little mini poodle has been a helpful addition to the family. He is loyal, loving, intelligent, quick to learn. We couldn't be happier with our poodle from Prok9 golden doodles and poodles.
A Letter from Wynnie’s Family
Feb of 2024, my beloved poodle was taken from this world too soon. I was heartbroken and sought comfort with my friend who also has a poodle. She told me, “I know it is soon, and you have no obligation to buy one, but my best friend has mini poodle puppies.” “Her name is Janis and she’s an experienced breeder and an amazing trainer. She showed me a video of her friend’s puppies. All the puppies were party color with the exception of two. The other two were identical, black with a little white on the chin. Janis sent me photos and when I saw her face, I knew she’d be a part of my life. Janis and I corresponded for the next few months until she was ready to leave. We’d talk on the phone for hours about our mutual love for dogs and how important proper training is to their happiness. Before I received my new puppy Janis sent me videos introducing me to how Wynnie’s training has started, she also shares videos on how to properly brush and care for them. As a groomer, I know how important proper grooming is for their health and wellbeing.
In May, I finally got to meet her. She blew me away from the moment we met. She took to potty training immediately. I have worked with dogs for twenty years. I have never met a dog that was so susceptible to training. She absorbed everything we taught her like a sponge. She is so silly and calm. The overwhelming sense of peace I feel when she is around is a fantastic feeling. She comes to work with me. Her favorite place to go is anywhere there are people. She brings joy to every person she meets. I have a friend that can be quite ridged when it comes to dogs. When he met her, he melted and was immediately smitten.
We hike a lot so it’s important for us for them to be able to keep up on their own. She leads the way, always ready to cautiously explore every new adventure we go on. Wynnie’s almost a year old now. I love her more every day. I look forward to the many years we have together and will cherish every moment.

Doug and Janis are committed to the training, health, quality and temperament of the dogs they produce. With people having different needs and dogs having varying traits Janis is very astute at matching a dog with his/her future companion by carefully listening to what the person is looking for in a dog.
I’ve had the privilege to work with janis at her facility taking care of puppies. The environment is always clean. Janis is very particular on how their babies are taken care of. The environment for the puppies is a joyful place with proper stimulation and care to develop each baby correctly. The time that Janis and Doug spend with their babies is incredible.

First, I'd like to say Thank You to Pro K9 Goldendoodle for knowing what I NEEDED when I wasn't sure.
My baby is Benny, and he is one of the offsprings from the K9 Doodle family.
I could not be more impressed with this baby as he has been very well trained. His manners are superb, his temperament is excellent, and I won't talk too much about how smart this baby is!! He actually does things that I don't even have to tell him to do!! I've never trained him to a potty pad but because of my knee injury, sometimes I can't make it outside quick enough, but he already knows where to go potty anyway, lol.
He gets in his crate at bedtime without me saying a word...and he is absolutely the sweetest dog I have ever had, and I've had a few in my lifetime. He's not fussy, picky or anything like that and he hasn't done not one bad thing since I've had him.
He loves his walks, hugs and kisses and after that, he is fine and alright. I didn't even know I had all these hugs and kisses inside of me, but Benny makes you want to love and hug him all day...which I do! 🤣😂
If anyone is looking to become a Doodle parent, I would highly recommend Pro K9 Goldendoodle to everyone, you will not regret it! I Promise! 🥰

ProK9 Training provided us with excellent training! When they held the leash on our dogs, the dogs behaved perfectly with little or no correction. It was us that needed the 'training'! I still hear the trainers saying to us, "You asked your dog to sit 5 times - which time did you mean it? If it was the first time, why say it again? You want them to respond the first time you give them the command to sit!". Lol - we and our dogs learned so much from ProK9 and their fabulous team of trainers. Our dogs behave fabulous in public! They are a joy to take out with us on walks. People often comment on how well behaved our dogs are! Thank you ProK9 for your professional, patient and positive approach to training our dogs!

I’m a Private Investigator in the state of California who hired Janis and Doug to train three dogs. Two German Shepherds and an out-of-control Yorkie lol. The Shepherds were trained as safety and security dogs. I was amazed how the dogs became so responsive to my commands and aware of any danger. After weeks of training the dogs are absolutely the best trained one could desire. The Yorkie was so very well behaved after Janis and Doug completed the training.
